‘We need the support of the business community’: Internships offer students a hiring advantage

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

"We need the support of the business community in order to prepare our students, so the perfect partnership is universities working alongside the business community," said FIU Director of Career Services Fernando Figueredo.
