Utah high school science buffs get statewide scholarship program

High school sophomores interested in careers in math, science and engineering are eligible to apply for a new scholarship program announced Friday by the EnergySolutions Foundation.
The program will award one $2,000 scholarship at each public, charter and private high school in Utah on an annual basis, said Pearl Wright, executive director of the nonprofit foundation. From that pool of scholarship winners, three grand-prize scholarship recipients will earn $25,000, $5,000 or $2,500 awards.
