University of Montana STEM Conference: Helping Girls Find Their Place In Science

A University of Montana study found that despite having many Montana students who are proficient enough in science and math, about 75 percent of those students don’t end up pursuing those fields in their careers. Particularly with women.

Women take up less than a quarter of all STEM careers in the U.S.–jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. But they are half the workforce.
