Statewide university incubator fund ready to launch

The State Board of Education is gearing up to create a $333,000 annual fund that university researchers could tap to turn their ideas into businesses.

"We have to try to find some way to help people get from the great idea stage to the next step," said Ken Edmunds, a member of the State Board of Education, who presented the idea to the council. "This is something that isn’t being added through private or public sources elsewhere."
