St. Vincent Healthcare creates pharmacy residency program

The demand for residencies by doctor of pharmacy students continues to increase at a rate faster than residency programs are being created.
The ratio of applicants to residency slots this past year may have been the highest it has ever been and that has resulted in hundreds of students going unmatched.
The pharmacy program at the University of Montana in Missoula usually places about 50 percent of its students in residency programs.
