Residents offer 1,200 comments on Billings’ growth plan
September 18, 2015 /
As she works to create Billings’ new growth plan from scratch, Candi Millar has received plenty of help — from more than 1,200 residents.
That’s the number of comments the city’s director of Planning and Community Development has received for BillingsBeyond, a state-mandated growth plan with a heavy dose of public involvement, including a meeting Thursday that attracted about 30 residents.
If current growth patterns — 1.5 to 2 percent per year in recent years — hold, Billings could well add 40,000 or more residents over the next 20 years, said Millar.
