Four finalists, winner to divide $550,000 pot
Venture capital, meet “American Idol.”
San Diego wireless giant Qualcomm said yesterday that it will sponsor a business-plan contest for technology entrepreneurs struggling to get seed funding in today’s difficult economy.
The contest, called the QPrize http://www.qprize2009.com , has a total pot of $550,000. It’s open to technology entrepreneurs in four regions worldwide.
The QPrize is aimed at giving a financial jump-start to small companies, entrepreneurs and university students with good ideas, according to Qualcomm http://www.qualcomm.com .
