Pioneer route passenger train might someday return to Idaho

U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo says he might get on board a plan to return passenger rail service to Idaho by Amtrak by signing on as a co-sponsor to a Senate bill.
Senate Bill 294 would require Amtrak to consider whether there would be enough passengers to make it feasible to reinstate the Pioneer train, which connected the eastern Idaho city of Pocatello and other Idaho cities by rail to Seattle, Chicago and Denver.
