National academies call for science education makeover

Kids today graduate high school too often unable to think critically about science or pursue careers in science and engineering, concludes a report from science educators.
The National Research Council report, "A Framework for K-12 Science Education," calls for reforming science teaching nationwide from kindergarten to high school.
