MSU students teach coding lesson to third-graders
October 23, 2014 /
In his first lesson in computer coding, Bozeman third-grader Carter Chapo learned how to give simple directions to move a figure on a laptop computer screen through a staircase maze.
"Woo hoo! I figured it out!" the 8-year-old said Wednesday. "It’s kind of like a game."
Teaching this basic coding lesson to third-graders were 13 Montana State University seniors, all majoring in elementary education, all taking a class in education technology.
