Mountain States Lead in IT Hiring Plans
June 19, 2006 /
CIOs anticipate a "moderate uptick" in the hiring of technology workers in the third quarter of 2006, according to a hiring and skills report released June 14 by Robert Half Technology, a provider of IT professional services, based in Menlo Park, Calif.
Although only 13 percent of the executives polled said they plan to add IT staff in the next three months and 3 percent anticipate cutbacks, the net 10 percent hiring increase is still 2 percentage points higher than last quarter’s forecast. Eighty-four percent said they intend to leave their tech staff levels unchanged.
