Montanans look East for ideas to promote tourism and art

A Virginia City couple is raising money to build a year-round crafts center modeled after West Virginia’s Tamarack, a successful economic driver and tourist destination in the Appalachian state.
At the same time, a Great Falls man is hoping to build a similar facility between Bozeman and Livingston.
"It goes to show you how good the idea is," Arni Fishbaugh, executive director of the Montana Arts Council, said Tuesday.
