Montana online resource for consumer complaints announced

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

Montana Attorney General Steve Bullock is unveiling a news service https://app.doj.mt.gov/apps/Oscar/ that allows you to file complaints or look up complaints against specific businesses – all from your home computer.

The service protects consumers and small businesses from fraud and abuse by businesses that act outside the law.

Until this summer, every complaint was documented on paper and brought to the Office of Consumer Protection. If the public wanted to view complaints they had to visit the office.
