Montana lawmakers review falling state revenues
September 15, 2017 /
A state legislative committee agreed Thursday that lower than expected revenues could require Governor Steve Bullock to make up to 10% cuts to state agencies’ budgets.
The Revenue and Transportation Interim Committee adopted a statement stating current revenue projections "may result in an ending fund balance below statutory limits."
But the statement also said revenue estimates made this early in a two-year budget cycle are still uncertain.
