Montana Department of Labor and Industry Receives Grant to Help People Applying for Federal Student Aid

Montanans who want to go to school and need financial assistance can turn to their local Job Service Office http://wsd.dli.mt.gov/service/officelist.asp to help them with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid thanks to funding through the College Access Challenge Grant.

"At least one person in each of our 26 offices has been trained in the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)," said Labor Commissioner Keith Kelly. "By making this process easier and more accessible we are helping those Montanan’s who want to further their education."

The Workforce Services Division http://wsd.dli.mt.gov/ of the Department of Labor and Industry received the $100,000 grant from the College Access Challenge Grant program, to help prospective students navigate the application process for financial aid.

Federal Student aid, an office of the U.S. Department of Education, ensures that all eligible individuals can benefit from federally funded financial assistance for education beyond high school.
