Montana Career Opportunity – Director-Technology Transfer – University of Montana
The University of Montana invites applications for the position of Director of Technology Transfer. The Director reports to the Vice President for Research and Development and oversees functions of technology transfer. Primary responsibilities are to (1) identify and protect intellectual property; (2) encourage and facilitate invention disclosure reporting, (3) market, commercialize and audit UM technology, and (4) foster local, state, and regional economic development.
Candidates should have the following: (1) scientific background in biosciences, (2) a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent, Ph.D. or other terminal degree preferred, (3) five years of progressively responsible experience in technology transfer, and (4) demonstrated interpersonal and skills.
