Missoula superintendent gets "shocking" raise

Missoula’s superintendent now makes $50,000 more per year than the governor of Montana.

The school board approved a 10% pay increase for Alex Apostle at its Tuesday night meeting.

Apostle’s salary jumps $15,000, from $140,000 to $155,000.

The governor only makes $97,000.

The superintendent also got an extra $700 a month for travel expenses.

The president of Missoula’s teachers union tells the News Channel the raise is shocking.
