Low-cost qualifying facility to add 80-megawatts of wind to Montana portfolio of Northwestern Energy

NorthWestern Energy has entered into an agreement with WKN Montana II to purchase the energy, capacity and environmental attributes from an 80-megawatt qualifying facility (QF) wind farm to be developed in south-central Montana. After extensive negotiations between the developer and NorthWestern Energy, the price to be paid for this power is $37.63 per megawatt hour.
