Hot-button topics join development at Missoula educator conference
October 15, 2014 /
It’s hard to keep politics out of a Montana educators’ conference. Eric Feaver isn’t much interested in trying.
He’s the outspoken president of the Montana Education Association-Montana Federation of Teachers, which hosts the annual conference at Sentinel High School and Missoula College this week. More than 2,500 teachers are expected in town.
Among the hundreds of sectionals will be two – at 10 a.m. both Thursday and Friday in the Sentinel choir room – where the hot-button topics of state-funded private schools and teacher tenure reform are sure to be addressed by Feaver and others.
