Hong Kong Offers Incentives to Utah Businesses

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Exports are big business for Utah and Hong Kong wants a piece of the action.

Trade Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs with the USA, Donald Tong, announced today at the Salt Lake Chamber his country is offering financial incentives to companies that are looking to expand their business to Hong Kong.

"I believe there is huge potential in Utah," said Tong. "Utah companies exported nearly $134 million worth of goods into Hong Kong last year and there is certainly still room to grow."
