Helena school district contracts with Shodair to enroll students with severe needs
May 23, 2018 /
Helena Public Schools signed a contract to enroll up to 16 students in Shodair Children’s Hospital’s day treatment program starting in fall 2018.
A contract with Shodair will help bridge the gap between school and mental health services. Students with significant behavioral and emotional needs will receive services and a higher level of support not available in the general education setting. Placement at Shodair will help students receive individualized services.
The goal is to eventually reintegrate students back into the regular classroom.
