Capital matching grants available to states, rail official says

A revived effort to reinstate passenger rail service in southern Montana picked up steam Tuesday, with the Schweitzer administration backing the idea and Amtrak officials outlining possible funding sources.

Public meeting
The Montana Association of Railroad Passengers will hold a meeting on a possible southern passenger rail route Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce office. The public is invited.
