Extended Systems of Boise nears sale to Sybase for $71.3 million

Extended Systems of Boise on Friday announced an agreement expected to lead to its sale for $71.3 million to Sybase Inc. of Dublin, Calif.

No staff reductions were immediately announced regarding the 180 people Extended Systems employs in Boise and elsewhere.

"We expect that the majority of employees will be integrated into the … organization," company officials said in a prepared statement.
