As an investment class, angel groups continue to proliferate, evolve, and mature. Growth, financial stability, and investment success are priorities.

"In my experience, there are stages of angel groups," says Susannah Malarkey, executive director of the Technology Alliance and board member of the Alliance of Angels (AoA) of Seattle, WA. Started by the Technology Alliance in 1997, AoA has 100 members and has provided over $50 million of early funding to more than 150 Northwest companies.
