Department of Labor Funding Notification: Enhanced Transitional Jobs Demonstration

Today, the Department of Labor is announcing the availability of approximately $40 million in competitive funding for Enhanced Transitional Jobs Demonstration grants to increase the workforce participation of low-income and hard-to-employ populations. These funds will enable non-profit community or faith-based organizations and a number of local Workforce Investment Boards to implement transitional job programs targeted at low-income, non-custodial parents and ex-offenders. Through this competition, the Department will award approximately $40 million to six to twelve grantees between with awards ranging from $3 million and $6 million.
