County-wide "State of the Community" conference in Richland County on March 14.

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Many area leaders are enthused about the possibilities of the upcoming "State of the Community" County-Wide Conference.

The conference, scheduled for March 14 at the Sidney Assembly of God Church’s activities center, will help determine the direction of Richland County’s future.

"It’s a unified look for the community," Wade VanEvery, executive director of the Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, said. "People had a chance to raise their concerns through the surveys that were available."

Leslie Messer, Richland Economics Development executive director, added, "It’s always a good thing to get people providing input."
