Computer 4 Kids gives away 25 computers from new location in Billings, Montana

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Computer 4 Kids http://www.computer4kids.us/ celebrated its new location in downtown Billings Tuesday by giving away more than 25 refurbished computers to kids who can’t afford them.

“This will be exceedingly helpful,’’ said Misty Ostrum, who picked up a computer for her three sons, Tanner Cleasby, 10, Korbyn Cleasby , 7, and Nolan Cleasby, 5.

Tanner, a fourth-grader at Bitterroot Elementary School, always has homework in which he needs a computer, Ostrum said. And almost all communication with schools is through computers, she said. “Hopefully, this will help me too. The kids will have to teach me.’’
