Changing times may force University of Montana to change funding priorities to stay relevant

Spring break came and went, but while the students were away, the challenges facing the University of Montana lingered.

The school is pushing through a tight budget and aligning itself for the future — not a bad thing, though the timing is relevant if other factors are considered, and if a single question is asked.

How will UM evolve to stay relevant in changing times? While the role of higher education has been debated over the past year, one only needs to connect the dots to see what’s coming down the pike for Montana’s schools.
