Chandler, Ariz., May Be the First City to Adjust Zoning Laws for Autonomous Vehicles

City planners believe the eventual shift toward autonomous vehicles will reduce the need for parking and free up land for valuable building space.

It would allow developers to devote less space to parking – and more space to more profitable building space – if they meet certain accommodations for autonomous vehicles.
