Carlyle Group wants to bottle, sell Missoula’s water

The Carlyle Group http://www.carlyle.com/ wants the possibility of bottling Missoula water back on the table in the proposed sale of Mountain Water Co., according to testimony Friday from the Clark Fork Coalition.

When the global equity firm bought Mountain in 2011, managing director of infrastructure Robert Dove signed a letter of agreement that prohibited bottling.

At the time, Dove also testified to state regulators that the water company would not bottle Missoula’s water under Carlyle ownership.
