Canines encourage Montana kids to read – "PAWS for Reading"

Before this fall, Patricia Spencer says her 7-year-old son, Joseph ,wasn’t all that excited about reading.

But one visit to the Lewis and Clark Library to read to a therapy dog last October changed all that.

"He really got the confidence he needed to stick with it," Spencer, who also works at the library said.

The popular "PAWS for Reading" program returns to the Lewis and Clark Library for the month of January every Sunday from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
