Burrell makes pitch for doctor college, Bozeman physicians doubtful

New Mexico businessman Daniel Burrell says if he opens an osteopathic college in Bozeman to train 150 students a year as doctors, it would be a big shot in the arm for the economy and help solve Montana’s doctor shortage.
Yet the idea ran into stiff skepticism from Bozeman doctors when Burrell met with about 50 physicians at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital on Thursday and spoke Friday to the Board of Regents’ meeting at Montana State University.
