BP offers free Wi-fi to fuel interest in gas stations

That’s what BP, the British gas station giant, is hoping. The company, which has 9,000 gas stations and truck stops in the USA and Canada, this month began deploying free Wi-Fi with help from Ruckus Wireless, a leading provider of Wi-Fi gear based in Sunnyvale, Calif. More than 90% of station owners are expected to participate, says Ruckus spokesman David Callisch.
