Local leaders unfazed by study: Think tank ranked Missoula toward bottom for Montana

Missoula was a long way down the list when the Montana Policy Institute released its ranking last week for Montana’s most business-friendly cities.

The Bozeman-based, free-market think tank’s findings showed Missoula was the 22nd most business-friendly place out of Montana’s 25 largest cities.

The institute’s rankings were based on three main areas: economic vitality, business tax burden and community allure.
