Eureka school district seeks funding for biomass. "Fuels for Schools"

Eureka school trustees, meeting in special session last Thursday, voted unanimously to pursue loans and grants to fund a $1.3 million biomass fuel system to heat all three of the district's school buildings.
Tracy McIntyre, program administrator of Eureka Rural Development Partners, attended the meeting. She will assist the school district with a grant application through the Fuels For Schools http://www.fuelsforschools.org/ program for $400,000.
