Townsend, Montana takes another step toward boosting its local economy, becoming an affiliate member of the Montana Main Street Program

With this membership, comes access to state and national expertise on revitalizing downtowns, said Brian Obert, program manager for Gateway Economic Development District.

“Part of the intent of the Main Street Program is to strengthen locally owned businesses, particularly retail,” said Julie Burk, program coordinator for Montana’s program.
