Starting up: IdaVation offers something for start-ups, entrepreneurs

Seven years ago, Kickstand began with a few friends meeting after work to unwind and share ideas on Idaho's fast-moving tech economy. Since then, the nonprofit group has steadily grown to nearly 400 members from 263 organizations, four affiliate groups around the state, a volunteer board of 14 and an impressive list of sponsors and donors.

Kickstand's goal is to prepare entrepreneurs to take on the challenges of building their businesses. Our mission is simple: to help innovators network, learn and grow. We do this by providing them with information and tools they can use. Kickstand has attracted sharp and dedicated volunteers with the spark and drive of young entrepreneurs because we are supporting the power of creation.
