Montana must have a nimble two-year education system that can quickly train adults to meet work force needs of businesses - particularly large corporations - that are interested in relocating to the state.
Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer aired his views at the Montana Board of Regents meeting urging the panel to take bold new approaches to deliver higher education.
Such a system is not only good for business, it's good for the entire state, for the adults who seek retraining and for the university system, which is figuring out how to best serve and remain vital to Montana citizens, Schweitzer said.
