Scott Boyles was surprised at the price of dog toys when he went shopping after getting Kilo, a German shepherd.
He decided he could make toys, collars and leashes that were of higher quality but less expensive.
The decision turned into a new business for Boyles, who lives in Helena and has a "real job" as a substance abuse counselor. He showed off this new business Friday at the Made in Montana Marketplace http://www.madeinmontanausa.com/Tradeshow.asp at the Great Falls Civic Center.
