Montana State University Agricultural Research Centers seeking matching funds for projects

In July of 2007, an amendment was added to House Bill 5 to increase funding for Montana State University Agricultural Research Centers http://ag.montana.edu/departments/researchcenters.htm by matching local contributions to individual stations at a four to one basis; the state gives $1 for every $4 given to the center.

Since then the state, the administration of MSU and the MSU-Eastern Agricultural Research Center [EARC] in Sidney have been work- ing together to get every-thing prepared for the tentative kick-off for the fund drive.

The EARC is currently working on forming a capital campaign committee to be in charge of the entire process for the area.
