A blueprint is needed to help guide growth over the next 20 years, when the city's population is expected to reach about 100,000 residents.
The plan will encompass the sometimes clashing views of retailers, professionals, neighborhood leaders, historic preservation advocates, government entities and others in the community.
“No matter where you live in Missoula, everybody in the community has a healthy interest in a vibrant downtown,” said Linda McCarthy, executive director of the Missoula Downtown Association.
