Rural administrators strategize ways to keep Montana schools alive

Administrators from 10 central Montana Class C schools are fighting to keep their doors open by looking at sharing teachers, staff and administrators and implementing four-day school weeks to make up for dwindling enrollment dollars.

The school officials met here on Tuesday hoping to discover ways they can avoid consolidating or closing schools.
