Energy session in Choteau, Montana will examine decentralization, conservation

October 25, 2007

Montana's energy policy should focus on conservation and efficiency, in conjunction with a decentralized strategy that relies on Montana-owned renewable power generation.

That's the message Ben Brouwer, AERO's http://www.aeromt.org/ Renewable Energy & Conservation program manager, will deliver Friday at 3:30 p.m. when the organization's annual meeting kicks off in Choteau.

His presentation is based on "Repowering Montana, Blueprint for Home Grown Energy Self-Reliance," a 106-page document created over the past two years by energy experts, architects, builders and regular folks concerned about the direction of the state's energy policy.
