National Tribal Conference On Environmental Management (NTCEM), 6/24-26, Billings, Montana 8:00 AM Billings, Montana Please mark you calendar for the upcoming 8th National Tribal Conference on Environmental Management (NTCEM) to be held in Billings, Montana from June 24-26, 2008. This year’s theme is “Nurturing Mother Earth…Our People’s Destiny” and the goal of the conference is to familiarize Tribes with Tribal and non-Tribal health and environmental protection initiatives.
Highlights from the conference include keynote speaker and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Dr. Steve Running, who is a leading expert in climate change.
There are a number of ways you can get involved with this exciting opportunity:
Registration: Early registration is $150 through April 30, 2008 and $175 after May 1, 2008. You can also register online at http://www.ntcem8.org.
Scholarships: There are a limited number of Tribal travel scholarships available. The deadline for the scholarship applications is April 15, 2008 and the form is available for download (http://www.ntcem8.org).
Exhibitors/Sponsor/Vendor Opportunities: There are a number of ways to market your business, service and organization during the conference. Space is filling fast, so please fill out the attached application and return it to us as soon as possible.
This year, we have included our annual health and wellness conference within the Agenda as a Track because of the strong relationship between a healthy environment and healthy communities. The Montana/Wyoming Tribal Leaders Council is honored to host this important conference. We expect over 600 attendees from across the nation. We hope to see you in June!
