High Tech Business Alliance responds to allegations of political bias

Michael Fitzgerald, the CEO and a co-founder of tech company Submittable, published an open letter ( Montana High Tech Alliance should consider breaking ties with Rep. Gianforte http://www.matr.net/article-85305.html ) asking other business owners to consider not joining the MHTBA because it was founded by Gianforte, a Republican who pleaded guilty to assaulting a journalist the night before he was elected in 2017 as Montana’s lone member of the U.S. House. Fitzgerald said he also views the MTBHA as a vehicle to promote Gianforte as a political candidate and lamented President Donald Trump’s comments that seemed to support Gianforte’s actions.
