Montana Governor Steve Bullock Announces Launch of Online Healthcare Dashboard

I am pleased to announce a new online dashboard https://dphhs.mt.gov/helpplan/medicaidexpansiondashboard that shows the healthcare results and positive impact of Medicaid expansion in Montana’s communities.

Montanans can see how Medicaid is providing the preventative care that avoids health complications down the road. In every county of our state, we are making a real difference in improving the health of thousands of Montanans.

The dashboard offers a county-by-county snapshot of healthcare results to date, showing exactly how Montanans are accessing preventive care. Montanans can see current enrollment numbers, and how many Montanans received preventive screenings and found the treatment they needed.

This includes:

26,940 adults received outpatient treatment for mental illness;

6,461 women have received breast cancer screenings;

88 women diagnosed with breast cancer as a result of a screening;

6,011 adults received colon cancer screenings;

2,152 cases of possible colon cancer averted;

5,362 adults received substance use outpatient treatment;

1,717 adults diagnosed and treated for high blood pressure;

776 adults newly diagnosed and treated for diabetes.

Check out how Medicaid has help your community by visiting the dashboard at: http://www.medicaiddashboard.mt.gov

Montana’s unique, bipartisan approach to Medicaid has created thousands of jobs, infused millions of new dollars into our economy, and kept our rural hospitals open.

Since 2016, over 96,000 Montanans have gained access to healthcare. Montana’s uninsured rate is down to 7.4% from a staggering 20% in 2013–saving the state millions of dollars each year.

Montana’s Medicaid coverage is important to the health of our friends and neighbors. Medicaid is important to the continued growth of our economy. Join me in supporting Montana’s communities, big and small, and the healthcare of Montanans.

Sincerely,

STEVE BULLOCK

Governor
