Montana’s Median Household Income Growth Fastest in the Nation

According to data issued by the U.S. Census Bureau last week, Montana has the fastest median household income growth from 2016 to 2017.

"Montana workers are the backbone of our economy, our businesses, and our communities and it’s heartening to see all the progress we’ve made in Montana pay off for middle-class families," noted Governor Steve Bullock.

Montana household income increased between 2016 and 2017 by 4.7 percent to $53,386 – more than 2.5 times the national average. Overall, median household income in the U.S. increased 1.8 percent.
