Montana Board of Regents OK new MSU degree to help solve rural teacher shortage

The Board of Regents has approved Montana State University’s plans to start a one-year, online master’s degree in teaching to train new teachers and help solve a critical schoolteacher shortage in rural Montana.
The regents voted unanimously at their meeting in Billings this week to give the Bozeman campus permission to offer the new teaching master’s and two additional degrees, in data science and chemical engineering.
