With an eye toward efficiency and effectiveness, the Department of Commerce has combined the Business Technical Assistance and Finance Assistance Bureaus to enhance collaboration, outreach, and effectiveness. Now called the Business Assistance Bureau, we believe this combined unit will make your work simpler and our jobs more effective.

The combined bureau will be led by Sean Becker, whose background in economic development, business development and finance will truly be an asset in serving our partners. Casey Lozar will shift to become the interim division administrator for the Office of Tourism and Business Development, bringing creativity, energy and sound strategy to the entire division. Casey’s background in economic development and program development make him an excellent fit for this role.

As Commerce continues its efforts to make Montana the best place to live, work and play, I know these changes will propel us forward as one team. The Office of Tourism and Business Development is committed to promoting Montana’s spectacular unspoiled nature and charming towns in innovative and efficient ways. The Office is equally committed to supporting innovative and sustainable industries and small businesses that will strengthen Montana’s economy.
