Filmmakers gather works from around globe for inaugural Montana International Film Festival in Billings
Billings filmmakers Pete Tolton and Brian Murnion have pitched their own film projects to film festivals, hoping for a place in those events.
In 2017, the pair decided to judge films rather than be judged, and they decided to do that by organizing their own film festival in Billings.
"I know the community was ready to move forward with our arts and culture and humanities as a community, and a film festival really moves that and drives that forward," Murnion said.
Now, a year into planning, their Montana International Film Festival https://www.mintfilmfestival.org/ , or MINT, has attracted its first sponsors and an ample menu of films.
